Having undertaken extensive coursework and project work at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in Database Management Systems, Business Intelligence Systems, and Machine Learning has given me the skills required to carry out prescriptive and predictive analysis on data through ML models as well as help design tools that enable uncovering hidden insights. Some of my past work has involved: n ● Assisting Cornell University’s Animal Hospital in deciding on opening a new Urgent Care facility by coordinating as a team of five students with CUHA stakeholders and studying the financial feasibility using extensive requirements elicitation, data exploration and cleaning, dimensional modeling, ETL pipelines, as well as interactive dashboards. ● Developing an extremely accurate (94%) ML model for predicting credit card customer churn rate by performing feature analysis to identify features relevant to customer churning, and comparing the performance of various models such as random forests, XGBoost, etc. ● Training a novel and highly accurate (89.7%) Deep Convolutional Neural Network that predicts the relative depth of objects present in a 2D image. Further extended functionality to work with 24 fps video inputs. I further published and presented a paper covering the current research trends in this domain at Springer’s ICDSMLA 2020 conference
