Aaron Apps

Aaron Apps is a language arts teacher with five years of secondary teaching experience in Colorado, as well as a decade of experience as a graduate teaching instructor and adjunct at places like University of Minnesota, Temple University, and Brown University. They have MFA degrees in both fiction and poetry, and have won several national poetry competitions, and had his writing mentioned as notable in Best American Essays. Before diving into teaching and writing, Apps worked as a CDL driver and sous-chef. They then switched to secondary teaching after tutoring at the public library and doing education advocacy in Providence, RI. Apps has a passion for art and arts integration, taught graphic design and comic writing as an elective at his previous job, and also ran video game and chess clubs.
