Description

The town of Stühlingen (approx. inhabitants), located in the Wutach Valley on the border with Switzerland, is currently seeking a full-time Fire Chief (m/f/d) for the volunteer fire departments in Stühlingen.

Full-time 100% - permanent

(39 hours per week according to TVöD / 41 hours per week for civil servants)

Our Fire Department:

The volunteer fire department in Stühlingen currently has 456 volunteer firefighters (active, retired, and youth department) in 10 departments.

What are the responsibilities?

  • Responsibilities of the Fire Chief according to § 9 FwG BW
  • Management and organization of the volunteer fire department with approximately 262 active firefighters in the response departments
  • Emergency and hazard response planning
  • Commanding fire department operations
  • Fire department needs planning, tenders, budget planning and execution
  • Support for our equipment managers (part-time employees)
  • Personnel planning and development, recruitment of new members
  • Participation in disaster management
  • Safety officer for fire stations and emergency alarm planning
