Job Description

  • Representing the purchasing department in our global development projects as the central contact person and interface to all relevant departments within the SHW organization
  • Evaluating customer/project requirements and providing project-specific information from the perspective of purchasing to the relevant areas
  • Managing and coordinating the procurement of all purchased parts along the product development process in close collaboration with the specialist purchasing department
  • Managing and coordinating component quality-related issues along the product development process in close collaboration with supplier development
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring the achievement of project goals in terms of cost, deadlines, and quality
  • Participating in the development of supplier allocation decisions, qualification, development, and evaluation
  • Attending project meetings, internal and external cost workshops, and customer audits
  • Regularly reporting project status within the project team, purchasing department, and management
  • Analyzing and actively identifying cost optimization potentials
  • Leading special projects (efficiency optimization, analysis of procurement markets, development of purchasing strategies, supplier workshops, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Completed degree (engineering, business administration, or similar) or equivalent education
  • Several years of professional experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Good technical understanding
