What you will do
The Events Director will be responsible for aiding with the organization of internal and external events, and conferences for clients, external business partners and employees.
You will have the opportunity to partner directly with key stakeholders across the PGIM Private Alternatives platform with a focus on the multiple business lines of the debt and equity areas of PGIM Real Estate, understanding their unique needs and executing events that meet their business objectives.
What you can expect
- Work closely with the Head of Events and marketing teams to develop and execute the appropriate support model to partner effectively with a focus on our Equity business, while leading the planning and execution of both internal and external events.
- Collaborate with internal partners to strategically determine meeting locations and timing of events. Oversee venue procurement and contract execution based on business plans.
- Negotiate and implement hotel and vendor contracts with supervision from the Global Head of Events incorporating the larger Prudential MSA relationships
- Research vendors (catering, decor, musicians etc.) and negotiate terms choosing the best combination of quality and cost.
- Manage final details and confirm onsite logistics (i.e., meeting room arrangements, sleeping room accommodations, technology, F&B, etc.) to ensure everything meets company standards.
- Work closely with Event planner as directed by Head of Events on all aspects of event planning where applicable.
- Oversee completion of administrative event support when needed, including but not limited to processing invoices, tracking, and logging gift/compliance entries, preparing and coordinating shipments to conferences/meetings; ordering supplies; creating name tags, dinner place cards and other necessary event print; research business partner issues/concerns, etc.
- Work closely with the Head of Events to aid in conducting event analysis to assess effectiveness and make recommendations on future planning.
- 812 years of experience preferred.
- Background in hospitality management, public relations, business, or relevant field is preferred.
- A proven track record of independently organizing and leading successful and complex, multiday events
- Proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Cvent or Cvent certification a plus
- Excellent people skills, comprehensive understanding of the meeting planning process and unprecedented whiteglove customer service skills
- Effective communication and collaboration with superiors as well as subordinates
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral member of a team.
- Experience with Corporate Real Estate/Private Alternatives a plus
- Ability to balance planning versus execution across multiple event types and in various phases.
- A positive and proactive approach to the role and tasks at hand
- Able to handle stressful situations while remaining calm.
