Reporting to the the General Manager, the
Assistant General Manager will lead, encourage, support and assist, operational tasks relating to the day-to-day operations.

They will respond effectively to quality control, productivity, health, and safety, both state and federal requirements. They will assist in the scheduling of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out safely and productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.


What you're responsible for:


  • You will be assisting in achieving goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to all departments.
  • You will be organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand, their duties or delegated tasks.
  • You will be communicating with leadership and employee to ensure productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • You will be receiving complaints and resolve problems.
  • You will assist in maintaining timekeeping and personnel records along with HR and EHS teams.
  • You will be relaying on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
  • You will be assisting in preparing and submitting performance reports.
  • You will be consistently ensuring adherence to legal, federal, and state safety, legal and American Iron and Metal policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.

Qualifications To Join our team**:


  • Proven experience as a leader.
  • Understanding of metal or recycling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work on multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
