The Ferdinand-Braun-Institute, Leibniz Institute for High Frequency Technology (FBH) is an applied research institution in the fields of high frequency electronics, photonics, and quantum physics.

The FBH conducts research on electronic and optical components, modules, and systems based on compound semiconductors. These are key building blocks for innovations in the societal areas of communication, energy, health, and mobility. It covers the entire value chain from design to ready-to-use systems.


In the Process Technology department, we are looking for two microtechnologists / technical assistants (m/f/d) - semiconductor chip technology as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • You perform process steps on automated and manual equipment, with a focus on lithography and wet chemistry or wafer thinning and chip singulation. You monitor the processes, control and document the results and equipment parameters.
  • To evaluate the work results, you use optical and tactile methods.
  • You identify and document qualityrelevant deviations and participate in the team in developing solutions.
  • You contribute to the stabilization and optimization of processing processes.
  • In collaboration with colleagues, you take technical responsibility for individual equipment and contribute to a high equipment availability.
