Duties:


This position is in the Client Relations Division's Technology Client Branch, supporting GSA's internal and external technology modernization communications efforts.


You will perform the following duties:

Duties at the GS-11 grade level:

Serves as a consultant to OSC management and administrative staff on matters relating to the preparation, review, suspense and transmittal of communications material.


Develops relationships and partnerships, serving as a liaison between clients and the Office of Strategic Communication to provide integrated strategic communications support focused on a client's evolving mission, needs and concerns.


Coordinates communications activities across teams, managing a comprehensive communications program for clients that includes proactively managing a defined, audience appropriate communications strategy based on understanding of the business.


Works closely with external communications/media affairs personnel to communicate on GSA programs and services, proactive and reactive in nature, includes researching and developing responses to members of the media and participating in public engagement outreach efforts.

Duties at the GS-12 grade level:
Serves as a consultant assessing and improving the effectiveness and management of GSA written communication initiatives, processes and systems.


Develops relationships and partnerships with assigned clients, serving as a liaison between clients and the Office of Strategic Communication providing strategic advice and direction focused on client's needs, promoting a client focused approach designed to integrate client initiatives and perspectives into communication projects, and to facilitate the development of communication solutions, options and recommendations to identify and implement satisfactory resolutions.


Analyzes, interprets and integrates information into a variety of formats such as graphs and tables, databases, spreadsheets, presentations and web pages.


Leads and coordinates communications activities across teams, creating a comprehensive communications program for clients that includes a defined plan based on various audiences, and proactively managing communications strategy based on the comprehensive program and understanding of the business.

Responsible for the planning, managing, scheduling, and implementing internal and external campaigns.

Plans and implements new formats and products suitable for the client and/or accessible to specialized audiences.


Serves as a central researcher, writer, editor, proofreader, and production coordinator for a variety of multimedia communications deliverables, that articulate, interpret and explain highly complex and important agency and/or client policies, programs, surveys and research findings.

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date

  • Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
  • Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
  • Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 1 investigation level).
  • Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee. We will use the Department of Homeland Security's eVerify system for this. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location.

The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee's home) and must be a physical address (not a PO Box) located within approximately a 50 miles radius of the duty location.
