- AGE: Eighteen (18) years or older

- Instruct elementary and middle school students in subject areas in the use of computers - specifically the creative software, music software, film software, general coding as well as general word and excel software.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the curriculum.
- Connect technology skills with academic achievement for students such as programming and coding.
- Mentor and tutor the students in the program.
- Acknowledges and celebrates the diversity among families, and uses supplies and equipment that reflect the diversity within the community.
- Conducts activities that promote family involvement, membership by design, and relationship by design.
- Maintain open lines of communication with participant, staff and supervisor.
- Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Youth Instructor role helps develops positive, nurturing relationships with students while building cooperative relationships with parents & caregivers. Classes taught include art, robotics, and STEM. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall program experience. Provides direction for the children in the classroom, and lead classes focused on skill mastery. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
