For the Department of Political Socialization and Democracy Promotion in the Project "Working and Research Center for Democracy Promotion and Extremism Prevention" (AFS) in Poquott, NY:


Your main tasks:

  • Implementation of the study on the social spacerelated political socialization of young people in the evaluation phase: analysis of interviews with professional and volunteer youth workers and group discussions with young people and young adults on participation and political orientations
  • Application of reconstructive and content analytical methods
  • Publication of own scientific findings on political socialization in adolescence in the form of research reports, journal articles, working papers and presentations
  • Collaboration on overarching project tasks of the AFS
  • Participation in the organization and implementation of events in the thematic areas of the AFS
  • Contribution to the transfer of knowledge between science and practice in the project's thematic fields

Your profile and skills:

  • Completed university degree in social sciences (Master, Magister or Diploma)
  • Knowledge in the field of youth (social) work with Muslim youth, Muslim youth associations or organizations, and/or Muslim religious education
  • Knowledge and experience in evaluating (individual) interviews and group discussions
  • Knowledge in youth research and the field of "Political Socialization in Adolescence"
  • Interest in the fields of democracy promotion and extremism prevention, as well as radicalization and extremism in adolescence
  • Proficiency in formulating scientific texts and presenting research results to different target groups
  • Interest in working at the intersection of politics, science
