We are seeking a
MEDICAL PATIENT CARE SPECIALIST to become a part of our team You will be responsible for administrative duties for primary care services.


Responsibilities
Responsibilities activities of an Medical Patient Care Specialist will include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Perform all front-end administrative duties to best meet the needs of the patients.
  • Ensure all patient demographic and financial information is accurate and current in patient's record.
  • Responsible for answering all inbound patient calls and route them appropriately.
  • Perform essential work within Electronic Health Record system and program data entry systems with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborates with team to checkin patients for appointments, schedule followup appointments, and process referrals.
  • Assist to verify client Medicare/Medicaid/Private Insurance eligibility and documents within the patient's records.
  • Collect patient copays for services.
  • Communicate in a culturally competent and effective manner to clients/caregivers regarding the services available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year paid work experience working in the medical field.
  • Good keyboard skills 35 wpm
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
  • Perform essential work within Electronic Health Record system and program data entry systems with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • Willing to accept COVID19 vaccination mandate as a condition for employment.

Working Conditions

  • The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required
  • Open to Saturday clinic rotation
