USC Gould School of Law is seeking a part-time lecturer to assist with teaching our on-campus Legal Research course during the Fall 2024 semester.


LAW-515 Legal Research (1 unit)
This 10-week course teaches 1L J.D.

students a methodology for conducting legal research in the United States federal and California jurisdictions using Lexis, Westlaw and other databases to research primary law (cases, statutes, and regulations), secondary sources, and tools such as citators for updating the law.

Part-time lecturers would be responsible for the teaching and grading of one or two small sections students) using a pre-designed curriculum and course materials.


USC reserves the "Adjunct" appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere.

Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
