At HEIDELBERG, vocational training offers young people diverse and interesting development opportunities and perspectives.

Our attractive onboarding program at the beginning of the training period creates excitement for learning and for the time at HEIDELBERG.

The seminar week at the start, with team-building activities and information about the company, provides ample opportunity for getting to know each other.

In addition, trainings and workshops prepare our new employees for their apprenticeship or studies. Nationwide, more than 300 apprentices and students are continuously trained in various apprenticeships and dual degree programs.

Exciting projects, varied seminars and development discussions, as well as a competent and professional learning environment, are the key to a successful career start.

Training focuses:

  • You create sand molds, melt metal, and pour it into molds.
  • You produce cores using various molding processes.
  • You learn machine and manual metalworking, welding, technical communication, as well as control and information technology.
  • You monitor and ensure quality.
  • You learn to act independently and with a focus on quality in project and teamwork.

Training duration:

  • The training lasts 3.5 years. With good performance, it can be shortened to 3 years.
