Description
Position Purpose:
Field Officer 1/Data Collector will be trained to gather data from identified properties within Wayne County.
Properties may be visited where a building permit has been issued or the assessment office has discovered that new or additional construction has occurred or routine inspection is required.
Education/Experience:
Entry-level position. High School Diploma or GED required with some college education preferred.
Employees shall be required to attend and successfully complete mandated courses and pass the Certified Pennsylvania Evaluation (CPE) Exam within two (2) years from the date of employment.
Must maintain license and fulfill mandatory education courses required and approved by Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.Job Requirements/Skills:
- Knowledge of Wayne County's geography is preferred.
- Ability to learn policies and procedures governing assessment practices when inspecting properties.
- Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office preferred.
- The ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Possess a valid PA Driver's License with clean driving history.
- Possess good organizational skills and the ability to comprehend new tasks.
- Knowledge of Construction and/or Real Estate.
Essential Functions:
- Measure all structures, noting areas of completion if not completed.
- Measure any/all structures not presently listed on the Property Record Card (PRC).
- Take digital photos of all sides of each structure as well as photos of pertinent assessment information.
- Do an interior inspection of the dwellings on the property and note all features if required.
- Sketch a rough draft of all construction showing where new or additional construction is located.
- Prepare a written log of all work completed including photos for supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to walk over various terrains for long periods of time.
- The ability to complete required work during all types of weather conditions.
Pay:
From $14.92 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
