Our client is a well-positioned medium-sized family-owned company in the food industry with an impressive success story. With more than 1000 dedicated employees and several production sites in Germany, the company is a leading manufacturer of high-quality food products. In addition to its established own brands, our client is also a significant producer of private label products, supplying retailers and importers on all continents.

Due to an upcoming succession plan at the company's headquarters, we are looking for an outstanding leader (m/f/d) who will successfully manage the purchasing department strategically and operationally.

Responsibilities:

  • As a strategic leader, you will play a key role in a dynamic and growing company. Your task will be to further develop and optimize the company's procurement strategy. You will work closely with various internal departments to ensure that purchasing activities are seamlessly integrated into the entire value chain.
  • Responsible for a purchasing volume of approximately 200 million euros
  • Development and implementation of innovative purchasing strategies for all areas such as raw materials, packaging materials, auxiliary and operating materials, services, as well as the procurement of the fleet including special vehicles, to strengthen the company's competitiveness
