Global Lead Buyer for Raw Materials (M/F/D)

Location:
La Carla, TX

Your Role:

  • As the Global Lead Buyer for the Plastic and Rubber category, you will be responsible for ALTANA and the global ACTEGA businesses.
  • Develop and maintain a project pipeline focused on cost reduction and value creation to positively impact margins for both ACTEGA and ALTANA divisions.
  • Understand and prioritize business line objectives and effectively communicate with stakeholders such as Technology, Business, and Operations in ACTEGA and ALTANA.
  • Collaborate with a crossfunctional strategy team to create a category strategy that includes global market intelligence, supplier management, portfolio strategy, cost structure assessment, and risk management.
  • Evaluate and strategically manage suppliers and their portfolios through segmentation analysis based on risk, performance, and value.
  • Drive mutual improvements with a focus on costeffective and innovative solutions to contribute to the overall sustainability roadmap of ACTEGA and ALTANA.
  • Negotiate global competitive master supply agreements and pricing models to ensure competitive supply and support business margin targets.
  • Lead a global virtual team of buyers and crossfunctional stakeholders through the Global Buyers Council.
  • Provide reports with a focus on business line impact to create transparency and guide the business and crossfunctional teams.

Your Qualifications:

  • Professional background in procurement or key account management sales.
  • Knowledge of procurement costsaving strategies.
  • Understanding of global markets in the chemical industry.
  • Strategic thinking, including risk management and a resultsdriven mindset.
