THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


The custodial role involves performing manual tasks to maintain cleanliness at Laurel Hill State Park Complex, which includes Laurel Hill, Kooser, and Laurel Ridge State Parks.

This position plays a vital role in safeguarding and preserving the natural resources of the commonwealth.

Duties include cleaning and sanitizing various areas such as restrooms, bathhouses, and cabins, as well as scrubbing, dusting, and polishing floors, furniture, and fixtures within park buildings.

Additionally, responsibilities entail restocking restroom supplies, disposing of waste paper, emptying garbage cans, replacing garbage bags, and discarding garbage in designated dumpsters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Seasonal fulltime employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.
  • This position performs in a seven (7) day a week operation and will be scheduled to work weekends and holidays. Specific schedule requirements will be conveyed during the interview process.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 30minute lunch.
