Hedwig Clinic is designated as a mother-child and perinatal center of the highest level of care (approximately 3,500 births per year) with departments for gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, pediatric surgery and orthopedics, pediatric urology, anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia.

It is one of the two locations of the Children's University of Eastern Bavaria (KUNO).
