Minimum Salary: 51,278.00
Maximum Salary: 94,913.00

Position Description
Performs advanced professional, administrative and/or consultative work in support of a program or project. Facilitates the
planning, development, and implementation of goals, objectives, guidelines, procedures, schedules, priorities and/or methods for
achieving program or project goals. Work requires extensive contact with department management, and external governmental
agencies and organizations. Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work
product.


Essential Duties:


Special Projects Coordinator II

  • Represents the Department and participates on interagency groups, technical committees or special task force groups.
  • Determines trends and prepares administrative reports, studies and specialized research projects.
  • Develops and implements effective techniques for evaluating agency programs.
  • Evaluates, develops and interprets policies/procedures.
  • Researches and develops programs, projects, activities or procedures.
  • Develops contract requirements or specifications in support of programs or projects.
  • Performs budgetrelated review, planning and development activities.
  • Performs site visits to provide staff assistance or in support of various management issues.
  • Prepares sensitive and highlevel correspondence and administrative or technical reports.
  • Serves as point of contact and/or liaison for programs or special projects with other departmental staff, governmental
entities and/or the public.


Special Projects Coordinator III - All the above plus

  • Oversees and monitors the progress of current program initiatives or projects; evaluates pending program initiatives and
projects for planning purposes; and consults and advises personnel and external contacts in policies and procedural requirements


Minimum Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, or a related discipline. _Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis. _Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications


Experience:

Special Projects Coordinator II

4 years business analysis, project or program administration, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). _Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis._

Special Projects Coordinator III

5 years business analysis, project or program administration, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). _Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis._
