The Institute for Immunology is currently seeking a scientific employee (m/f/d) for the Bopp research group in the field of immune response in multiple sclerosis, starting as soon as possible and initially limited until December 31, 2026 in Ogdensburg, WI.

Your tasks:

Independent planning, execution and evaluation of experiments in the field of neuro-immune crosstalk in multiple sclerosis
Contribution to scientific publications and third-party funding applications
Active participation in internal meetings and scientific conferences (poster presentations, lectures)
Participation in laboratory management (e.g. animal breeding including genotyping, supervision of doctoral students, instruction of TAs)


Your profile:

Completed natural science doctorate and first-author publication(s) in biomedical sciences or equivalent
Theoretical knowledge and practical know-how in immunology and cell culture of primary cells


Experience in the following areas is required:
Animal experimental work (FELASA B or equivalent, EAE models), flow cytometry, molecular biology, protein biochemistry and statistical analyses
