Within the role of Program Analyst, you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development.

You will perform critical acquisition planning, management, and reporting to inform acquisition and contracting decisions that will ensure program success.


What You'll Do:


  • Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success
  • Support the Program and Project Managers within either the Propulsion Systems branch or the Avionics Branch of the F 35 Joint Program Office.

Must Haves:


  • Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Education Requirement:
  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
  • OR Associates Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
  • Work Experience Requirements:
  • At least six (6) years of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
  • At least four (4) years out of six (6) of experience in program management, technical or business analysis
  • At least two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
  • Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR), Work Requests, Requisitions, Data Item Descriptions (DID) Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and DD254 is required
  • Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status, schedules, and DoD reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, lifecycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series), to include DoD Instruction (DoDI , DoD Directive (DODD , and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills

Nice to Haves:


  • Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
  • Familiarity DoD Directive (DODD International Agreements), and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
  • 5th Generation Fighter acquisition management experience
  • F35 Lightning II program knowledge and expertise
  • Experience with and knowledge of acquisition challenges associated with a Contractor Supported Weapon System (CSWS)
