Position Overview:
$10K Sign-On Bonus
The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge.
This position requires knowledge of standards of care, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
EXPERIENCE
- Significant and substantial experience in OR in an acute care or ambulatory surgery environment
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- The ability to get along with coworkers or peers.
- Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
- The ability to recognize potential hazards and follow appropriate precautions.
- The ability to understand and remember detailed instructions.
- Must be able to demonstrate communication, problemsolving, and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to demonstrate agerelated competencies for neonate through geriatrics
- In depth knowledge of nursing process and performance improvement
- Knowledge of Operating Room practice and aseptic technique
- Previous completion of Periop 101 curriculum preferred
- 2 years recent operating room nursing experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgery center preferred
- Oncall required to include nights, weekends, and holidays with a 20minute response time
- Service lines include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Bariatrics, Robotics, Spine, OB/GYN, Plastics and Eyes
