As a Head Start Teacher, your role will include:
- Take the lead in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall curriculum and classroom experience.
- Regularly communicate with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, achievements, and activities.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of each child, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
- Remain current on best practices in early childhood education and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives.
What You'll Need:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- The ability to work a rotating full-time shift between the hours of 6 am
- 6 pm.
- At least 1 year of experience in a center setting, showcasing your expertise in early childhood education.
- To be at least 18 years of age.
- Your Infant or ECE Level 4 or 5 Credentials or a bachelor's degree with at least 16 credits in ECE
- Capability to meet the physical demands of working with children.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Completion of an annual TB test and physical examination.
