We have just adopted a dog, he is approximately two and a half years old. He is a mix of Podenco and Greyhound, and the shelter did not mention any behavioral issues, which has now become a big problem. The dog has severe separation anxiety, he barks, howls, and scratches at doors (he even knows how to open the front We also have another dog, a small Podenco, who gets nervous when he sees the other dog in such a state and they both start barking.Other than that, the dog has an amazing personality, he is very affectionate, obedient, and intelligent.
We urgently need the opinion of a professional to assess if this disorder can be solved, as my husband and I work in the mornings and afternoons, and we also have a young child, so this situation causes us a lot of anxiety.
