Description

On behalf of our client, a renowned company in shipbuilding, we are looking for a designer for the field of ship structures in Blairsville.

Your responsibilities

  • Design of ship structures in steel or aluminum for yacht construction
  • Creation of classification documents and workshop drawings
  • Preparation of parts lists and maintenance of documentation
  • Calculation of weights and centers of gravity
  • Coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Calculation of strength for local issues

Your profile

  • A completed degree, for example in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering
  • Alternatively, a technical vocational training with further education as a state-certified technician
  • Relevant professional experience as a designer in shipbuilding
  • Proficiency in a common CAD program, ideally Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX, or Rhinoceros
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Structured and independent work style, as well as teamwork and flexibility
