The Human Resources Coordinator provides assistance with and facilitates the Human Resources processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations.

The human resource coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.

This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and PEO entry.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Administrative training required.
  • Two years of Human Resources assistance experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Verifies I9 documentation.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with newemployee background checks.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee electronic files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new employee electronic files.
  • Processes mail
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions.
  • All other duties as assigned.
