About us:

As a hospital of maximum care with a focus on orthopedics and neurology, RKU provides a total of 282 acute care beds and 216 rehabilitation beds.

The Orthopedic University Clinic with the Spinal Cord Injury Center and the Neurological University Clinic with the Stroke Unit, the Radiology Department with Neuroradiology and Geriatrics, together with the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, form the acute care area of RKU.

Immediately adjacent is a day clinic for specialized orthopedic pain patients. The Center for Integrated Rehabilitation (ZIR) offers inpatient and full-day outpatient medical, medical-vocational, and vocational rehabilitation measures.

The Department of Vocational Education, with its nursing schools, continuing education opportunities in the healthcare sector, as well as subsidized educational measures and projects, completes the range of services.

At RKU, acute care areas and medical, medical-vocational, and vocational rehabilitation form an integrated care chain: The care of our patients does not end with primary care, but is continued through medical rehabilitation treatments and, if necessary, with measures for vocational or home reintegration.

RKU is a 100% subsidiary of the university hospital.
