Your Mission

As an electronics technician for devices and systems, you will manufacture components and devices for information and communication technology or measurement and testing technology. You will also install and maintain systems and devices.

The training lasts 3.5 years in a dual system (training facility / vocational school) and ends with the skilled worker examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Early shortening to 3 years is possible in consultation with the company and with corresponding good performance in school.

The content of the training corresponds to the training framework of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. These include, among others:

  • Acquisition of training content, such as the required craft skills and theoretical knowledge (also in external training facilities)
  • Performing calculations and determining performance characteristics of the components of a device, such as resistors, diodes, transistors, and circuit modules
  • Assembling and connecting electrical equipment
  • Installing and configuring electronic systems
  • Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining testing equipment
  • Technical order analysis, solution development, and production or commissioning of devices and their components and systems
  • Reading, creating, and evaluating technical documents and documentation, also in English (e.g. circuit board designs)
  • Acquiring knowledge in labor and collective bargaining law, environmental protection
