Special Hazards Technician
The Special Hazards (SHAD) Technician will perform inspections, service, repairs and upgrades of clean agent fire suppression and other engineered special hazards fire suppression and detection systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform programming, startup and commissioning of Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems.
- Perform inspection and testing on Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems.
- Complete inspection reports and service work orders.
- Read and interpret building construction documents such as drawings, specifications and other contract documents.
- Prepare lists for ordering Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems equipment.
- Perform accurate surveys of Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems in existing buildings.
- Coordinate activities with project manager.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- NICET Certification in Special Hazards
- Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR
