Word for Word is looking for reinforcements. We are therefore seeking
experienced proofreaders/editors (m/f/d) to support our advertising proofreading team in Cologne's Südstadt as freelance employees (m/f/d). Working from home is possible.

About us:

Word for Word was founded in 1993 and has since established itself as a professional service provider in the areas of text, advertising proofreading and editing, specialized and advertising translations, as well as spelling and text training.

Our clients include well-known advertising and PR agencies of all sizes, as well as national and international companies from various industries.

The tasks:

You will proofread a variety of texts for our clients (annual reports, brochures, flyers, sales folders, employee and customer magazines, etc.) based on individual writing guidelines.

Proofreading includes checking for spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and typography.

You will incorporate corrections into both Word and PDF documents.

The requirements:

You have successfully completed a degree in German studies.
You have a strong grasp of spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
You have at least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in proofreading/editing.
You are able to work with concentration even under time pressure.
You are proficient in using programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
