We are currently seeking a
social pedagogue (m/f/d) for the Inobhutnahmezentrum (emergency shelter) for foreign children and adolescents in the Dresdner Neustadt district.

The position can be agreed upon for 32 to 39 hours per week and is permanent.


Responsibilities:


  • Receiving and caring for incoming children and adolescents (initial care, mediation, support in coping with the first days and weeks in Germany)
  • Independent organization of daily life in the residential group
  • Developing individual support and care goals and implementing and shaping them in pedagogical work with the children
  • Careful documentation of agreements and relevant information
  • Individual and goaloriented design of support processes
  • Organizing leisure activities in the sense of social group work

Requirements:


  • Degree in social pedagogy
  • Experience in the field of child and youth welfare
  • Language skills desirable (not a requirement)
  • Ability to handle constantly changing situations (new admissions, dealing with emotional crisis situations, etc.)
  • Enjoyment of collaborative, solutionoriented work in a team
  • Empathetic openness towards colleagues, clients, and their families
  • Ability for critical selfreflection
  • Organizational skills and independent, structured work style
  • Involvement of families in processes and solution development
  • Willingness to work, flexibility, reliability
