The Federal Construction Office (ABB) is an independent state authority. We manage and oversee the civil and military construction projects of the federal government in Rhineland-Palatinate.

We act as the link between the federal authorities as clients and the state-owned company for property and construction management (LBB), which carries out the construction measures.


As part of our technical supervision over the LBB, we ensure that the client's requirements are met during the implementation of construction projects.

In addition, we advise the users and manage the projects to be implemented.

The Department 22 oversees the construction projects of the US Armed Forces stationed in Rhineland-Palatinate.

This includes both military infrastructure projects (air traffic areas, aircraft hangars, troop accommodations, etc.) and civilian facilities (schools, kindergartens, clinics, etc.).


In addition, Department 22 carries out the special task of handling fundamental issues (ABG 1975, etc.) in the construction of guest armed forces on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Defense.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the client for construction projects of guest armed forces and NATO, and monitoring and overseeing project goals as part of overall project coordination
  • Handling tasks related to fundamental issues in guest armed forces
