Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Chaplain.

As a Chaplain, you will provide spiritual guidance and support to individuals in various settings, including hospitals, hospices, correctional facilities, and military bases.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

Provide spiritual counseling and guidance to individuals and their families
Conduct religious services and ceremonies
Offer bereavement support to those who have experienced loss
Assist in crisis intervention situations
Mentor and provide emotional support to individuals facing challenging circumstances
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other staff members to ensure holistic care for patients
Write and deliver sermons, prayers, and other religious materials
Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Plan and organize religious events and programs
Manage conflicts and facilitate resolution in a respectful manner

Qualifications:

Ordination or endorsement from a recognized religious organization
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong conflict management abilities to navigate challenging situations
Proficient in providing bereavement support and counseling
Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
Ability to mentor individuals seeking spiritual guidance
Competence in Christian counseling approaches helpful
Strong event planning skills for organizing religious events or gatherings
Effective crisis management skills to handle emergency situations
Willingness to educate others about spirituality and faith

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Works in patient's homes, nursing homes, SNFs, GIP facilities in various conditions; ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally in Houston and surrounding areas.
