The Institute for Medical Microbiology and Virology at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) provides microbiological and virological diagnostics to the UMG, other hospitals in the region, and medical facilities.

One of our main tasks is the identification of pathogens and determination of antibiotic resistance in order to address the increasing importance of infectious diseases.

Working with modern methods and up-to-date laboratory information systems is a given for us.

Your responsibilities:

Routine microbiological diagnostics, including participation in weekend shifts
Personnel management and scheduling for approximately 30 employees in the medicaltechnical service
Coordination of work processes
Team development
Organization of training events

Your profile:
We are looking for a motivated individual for this position
- with a completed MTLA training
- with several years of experience in personnel management and working in routine bacteriological diagnostics
- proficient in laboratory information systems (LIS) and common MS Office applications
