The instructor is responsible for providing meaningful quality instruction and workforce preparation to students that meet the program and course objectives.

The Adjunct Faculty will teach a variety of Career Technical Education (CTE) classes covered in the Quality Assurance for Medical Devices Certificate Program.

This includes, but is not limited to the following topics:

laws governing the development, manufacturing, and approval of medical devices; document control and database management; methods, tools, and concepts of quality and design control; technical writing for the bio medical industry, and quality audits.


Primary Purpose:

Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

For courses in an occupation for which the district offers or has offered apprenticeship instruction, the minimum qualifications for noncredit apprenticeship instructors in that occupation, as specified in title 5 section 53413.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience teaching adult students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.

A working knowledge of, and experience with, student learning outcomes and assessment.


Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
