Essential Functions of the Pipefitter:

Job may require lifting boxes, equipment, or other materials up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist height, 1-2 times per day
-
Job may require bending, lifting, stretching, climbing (ramps/ladders/multiple flights of stairs).

Job may require carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
up to 50 feet, 1-2 times per day.

Job may require pushing and pulling equipment up to 75 lbs. for up to 5 feet., 3-4 times per day.

Job requires the lifting and carrying of 20 lb. tool belt/bag from floor to shoulder height, 1-2 times per hour up to 200 feet.

Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
May be assigned a company cellular phone and is expected to have it turned on and be available for communications at all times.
The Technician may be assigned a company vehicle and is expected to keep it clean and organized inside and out.
Drives company vehicle in a safe manner at all times, always wearing safety belt.
Follow all safety regulations and precautions.
Wear all required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
Performs other related work as required.
