The city of Finsterwalde is seeking a full-time or part-time (39 hours/week) employee for an indefinite position as a

City Planning Officer (m/f/d)


The responsibilities include:

  • Participation in urban development local planning, regional planning including involvement of stakeholders and citizens, as well as coordination with regional planning such as land use and development plans, project and development plans, green space planning, and environmental assessments
  • Development and updating of regulations according to the Brandenburg Building Code and the Building Code, including official announcements
  • Management of planning processes until approval
  • Preparation and processing of implementation, development, and urban planning contracts
  • Review of thirdparty plans
  • Coordination of all specialist planners and their contributions in the decisionmaking processes for building plan procedures, as well as evaluation of statements from public authorities in the decisionmaking process
  • Participation in meetings of municipal committees

We expect:

  • A successfully completed training as a public administration clerk with relevant professional experience in city planning law
  • Uptodate knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, with a focus on urban development, building planning, and building regulations
  • Knowledge of administrative and municipal law, procurement and budget law, public building law, contract and funding law, as well as specific legal provisions
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Archikart, Caigos (GIS), and MS Office, desirable
  • Independent, selfmotivated, and goaloriented work style, as well as presentation and
