Description

As a track maintenance worker at Fairview, you will be responsible for maintaining vegetation along the railway network to ensure smooth train operations.

We are currently seeking a career changer for training as a track maintenance worker (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH in Osnabrück.

*What to expect during the training:

Your physical fitness will be assessed through a medical examination to ensure you are able to perform vegetation work in the track area
The training will take place full-time (40 hours/week) and will last 6 months, consisting of theory and practical phases
You will receive training on the specific equipment during your working hours and at full salary

*After completing the training, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

You will handle specialized equipment, such as chainsaws, trimmers, and mulching machines, with reliability and also perform maintenance and care
You will safely fell selected trees and independently address any quality issues
Clearing of cuttings is also part of your responsibilities
With your trained eye, you will quickly identify potential hazards in the vegetation
If necessary, you will create habitats as compensation and replacement measures
