The new nursing training from January 1, 2020 is generalist, which means that several nursing professions are being merged into one. Not only the job title of nursing specialist (formerly: health and nursing care, elderly care) is new, but also the content. This includes knowledge and skills for caring for people of all ages and in all areas of care - in hospitals, outpatient care services and nursing homes.

Your responsibilities:
The training at DIAKO Hospital prepares you for a versatile and responsible profession in nursing. The daily work offers you new and exciting challenges. As a nursing specialist, you will be an important point of contact for patients and work together with other healthcare professionals in a team.

The training is divided into theoretical classes (2100 hours) and practical training (2500 hours). The theory takes place in blocks at the Ecumenical Education Center for Healthcare Professions (ÖBiZ: .oebiz). The practical training takes place mainly at DIAKO Hospital, but there will also be assignments in outpatient care and nursing homes.
