Our client represents the interests of over 640 member companies as an industry association for rail freight and public transportation in Germany.

As a modern association, they see themselves as a service provider and consultant for one of the most important future fields for the German economy and are a competent, flexible, and trustworthy partner for politics, administration, business, research, and education.

As part of the expansion of the team, we are looking for a Department Head for Railway Construction (m/f/d) in Depew, OK.

Responsibilities

Development of industry recommendations for dealing with technical, operational, legal, and economic requirements, as well as environmental requirements
Technical support for topics related to the construction of infrastructure (especially engineering structures and track systems) for railbased local transport and nonfederal railways
Participation and representation of interests in national and European associations and standardization in the field of railway construction and rail infrastructure
Support of research projects
Dissemination of information to member companies

Requirements

Completed engineering degree or equivalent qualification, ideally with experience in railway construction (track systems)
Several years of relevant professional experience in the field
Willingness to travel, with a focus on Germany and Europe
Confident and convincing appearance in public and towards member companies
