Occupational profile:

Precision mechanic specializing in toolmaking (stamping and forming technology) manufacture and process tools using machines or manually, for example by drilling or sawing. They assemble individual parts into complete tools and inspect the finished products. They check whether the tools meet the dimensional and quality requirements and whether they are fully functional. They maintain and repair damaged or worn tool parts and develop work programs for computer-controlled tool machines. The tools are then used for industrial mass production.
