Social assistant / Social assistant 2-year program

With a degree as a social assistant, an advancement-oriented training as an educator is possible.

Social assistants complement the tasks of educators, social workers, pediatric nurses, and parents in the areas of household management, nursing, and education.

They accompany support-needing groups of people in everyday activities such as shopping, meal preparation, and laundry and household care.

Social assistants primarily work in youth and senior residential homes, care facilities, kindergartens and after-school programs, hospitals, youth welfare offices, disability support, and private households.

Training contents:
Utilizing observations as a basis for social action
Building and shaping social relationships
Participating in the design of educational and care processes
Assisting with the care of people in health and illness
Supporting people in everyday tasks
Accompanying cultural and creative processes

Additional qualifications:
Shaping the future together

Admission requirements:
High school diploma or good secondary school leaving certificate
