EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Hessenring mbH, located in Melsungen, Northern Hesse, leads the field in the food industry in the region with over 500 EDEKA stores.

We supply our independent EDEKA retailers and our own stores with food and non-food items from our distribution centers in Melsungen, Großen-Buseck, and Straußfurt in our core sales area of Hesse, Southern Lower Saxony, and Thuringia.

Job Description

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of our internal audit department, reporting directly to the management.

Your main tasks will include conducting risk-oriented audits, developing recommendations for preventive measures, participating in and reviewing inventories, and analyzing deviations from targets.

You will also be responsible for documenting audit results, deriving suitable measures, and providing competent advice to the relevant departments on audit-related topics.

Additionally, you will be in charge of creating the annual audit plan, conducting regular audits, and ensuring the effectiveness of internal control systems, as well as monitoring compliance with internal company regulations, guidelines, and legal requirements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in business administration or equivalent qualifications acquired through work experience and further training.

Previous experience in internal or external auditing is advantageous. You should possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, be a team player with a high level of commitment, and have excellent organizational
