Job Description
  • As part of your thesis, you will research and analyze new topologies to develop a highly efficient and compact bidirectional DC-DC converter.
  • You will design modulation concepts that allow for soft switching throughout the converter's entire operating range.
  • Your responsibilities will also include designing high-frequency power magnetic components for electromagnetic and thermal performance.
  • In addition, you will model and estimate power dissipation in semiconductors and high-frequency magnetics.
  • Finally, you will optimize the proposed concept and validate it through simulation.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics
  • Experience and Knowledge: experience with power converter simulation in MATLAB/Simulink and FEM simulation in electromagnetic and thermal domains; strong understanding of switching power converters (topologies, modulation techniques
