Description
As a warehouse specialist, you are like the pilot for the incoming and outgoing goods in the company. Specifically, you carry out tasks related to the acceptance, storage, and shipping of goods.

You usually work in a team in the incoming and outgoing goods areas, as well as in the warehouse of the company.

You use various tools for the storage and transport of goods, including forklifts, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and sorting systems.

Duration of training: 2 years


Vocational school:
Hermann-Emanuel-Berufskolleg Steinfurt

Work in training-specific departments, such as incoming goods and picking.


Your responsibilities:
In the company, you will first become familiar with the work organization of Schmitz Cargobull. You will learn how to use and apply different tools correctly. As you progress through each department step by step, you will eventually become an expert.

During your 2-year training, you will learn the following:


1st year of training:

  • Incoming goods: Acceptance of goods, booking and scanning of delivery notes, triggering of Kanban orders
  • Storage and provision of goods
  • Goods inspection and quality assurance measures
  • Transport logistics: Use of tools
  • Handling of hazardous materials

2nd year of training:

  • Picking and packaging of goods
  • Quality management: Error analysis, zerodefect testing, product audits, material testing
  • Basics of SPS methodology
  • Shipping: Speed logistics,
