This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a combination of onsite and remote work.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge.

The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.


Under the supervision of the attending faculty physician and the clinical nurse or NP lead, the RN is responsible for providing clinical assistance and support in treating and managing the pre and post-transplant care of transplant patients.

Acts as a key member of the multidisciplinary transplant team. Solves complex clinical problems and communicates directly with the attending physician.

Consultant and liaison for patients and their families with attending physicians, house staff, social workers, financial and administrative staff, and community physicians.

Provides teaching to patients, staff, and community organizations. Collaborate with attending physicians on admissions, discharges, urgent evaluations and patient education, primarily in the hospital setting. Works closely with the administrative team to fulfill QA and regulatory requirements


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN License issued by the State of California.
  • BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of outpatient Solid Organ Transplant Coordinator experience at a transplant center.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderatelycomplex problems to develop potential solutions.
  • Must be able to function in a fastpaced environment, have excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical skills to identify and implement nursing interventions andevaluate results.
  • Must have excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff,physicians, patients and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BSN.
  • Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification.
  • Prior Lung Transplant Experience.
  • Epic and Phoenix experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, oncall and various locations based on the 24hour Medical Center's business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $83.17

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
