Major Duties:

Responsible for driving participants to and from field trips on and off base. Incumbent must possess a valid CA driver¿s license, maintain a clear driving record, and meet all insurability requirements.

Drives one or more types of vehicles, such as sedans, vans, SUVs, and/or pickup trucks, on and off the installation.

Vehicles are driven on the basis of regular and specific trip assignments for transportation of personnel and participants in the program.

Driving conditions off the installation include driving in highly congested traffic locations and on high-speed highways/freeways. Ensures that passenger safety rules and regulations are followed. Ensures cargo is protected from weather and is properly distributed and secured to prevent damage or loss during transit.

May be responsible for operation of a cash register and selling retail items associated with activity. Responsible for the proper handling and safeguarding of funds. May perform light custodial and general housekeeping duties such as cleaning and dusting of the facility. Responsible for adherence to safety rules and regulations and established policies and procedures.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Minimum one year experience in a related recreational activity.

Must have the ability to supervise large groups of people and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. Incumbent is required to travel at minimum once each quarter to meet program requirements. Travel requires multiple overnight and weekend stays.


_This position works frequent nights and weekends._ Must have valid CA driver's license, maintain a clear driving record, and meet all insurability requirements.

Preferred knowledge of Marine Corps and MCCS.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

Selective Service Registration:

If you are a male born after December 31, 1959 and are at least 18 years of age, government employment requires that you must register with the Selective Service System, unless you meet certain exemptions.

You must be able to show proof of registration or your exemption, as part of the required suitability background investigation.
