DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In the Compensation Division of the Human Resources Department, performs various basic professional duties involved in performing compensation and classification projects, such as researching compensation trends and practices, participating in salary surveys and job audits, analyzing costs associated with salary increases and auditing salary actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audits and processes various salaryrelated personnel actions as assigned.
- Participates in salary surveys as assigned.
- Conducts job analyses, reviews data gathered and performs desk audits.
- Studies and applies market data collected and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Conducts job classification audits as requested.
- Participates in basic compensationrelated special projects.
- May prepare management reports from employee information database.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is physically comfortable. The individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science, Liberal Arts or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One year related to human resources is required.
Pertinent experience at the professional level may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
