Description

Outstanding manufacturing company seeks Solder Technician to be responsible for assembling electronic components and circuits by soldering them together according to specific requirements and standards.

The Solder Technician plays a vital role in the production of electronic devices and systems, ensuring that soldered connections are reliable, durable, and free from defects.


Duties & Responsibilities include the following:

  • Soldering Electronic Components: Perform soldering tasks to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) or other substrates, following engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect soldered joints and assemblies for defects, such as solder bridges, cold solder joints, and insufficient solder, using magnifying devices and testing equipment. Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Repair and Rework: Identify and rectify soldering defects through rework or repair techniques, such as desoldering, resoldering, and touchup soldering, to meet quality requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain soldering equipment and tools in good working condition, including soldering irons, solder stations, rework stations, and cleaning stations. Perform routine maintenance and calibration as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of soldering materials, including solder wire, flux, solder paste, and cleaning agents. Replenish supplies as needed and keep accurate records of usage.
  • Documentation: Complete production documentation, including work logs, inspection reports,
- and defect tracking records. Maintain accurate records of soldering activities for traceability and quality control purposes.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Handle soldering materials and chemicals safely and dispose of waste according to regulations, resolve technical issues, optimize soldering processes, and achieve production targets, practices through training programs, workshops, and self-study.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training or Solder Certification is Required.
  • Proven experience as a soldering technician or electronics assembler in a manufacturing
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques, including throughhole soldering, surface mount soldering,
  • Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and soldering equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong handeye coordination for precise soldering work.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot soldering defects.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in soldering processes.

Schedule:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Thursday), 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (Friday)
