If you want to contribute to the health of the population in the
Hildesheim district, we are looking for you to join our team as a
Medical Assistant (m/f/d) for the Infectious Disease Control department at the Health Office, starting as soon as possible.


This is a full-time position, initially limited until December 31, 2023, with a regular weekly working time of 39 hours, which is also suitable for part-time work.

The position is classified in pay group 8 according to the collective agreement for public service (TVöD).

If you are currently employed in the public sector, it may be possible to consider your current salary level and length of service.


Your responsibilities:


  • Epidemiological surveillance of notifiable infectious diseases and pathogens according to the Infection Protection Act
  • Recording and checking reports based on case definitions
  • Entering data into the computer system, including statistics
  • Identifying sources of infection and contact persons sometimes onsite
  • Taking blood samples for diagnostics
  • Writing and sending reports to the state health office
  • Ordering measures for the prevention, detection, recording, and control of infectious diseases, also under medical supervision
